Mom Cyberbullying??

News story this morning on Good Morning America - cyberbulling among adults - specifically among moms is rampant. WHAT??????? Have we become so insecure and insensitive that we resort to hiding behind a computer to sling mud at one another. What happened to supporting one another - building each other up? I have one word for those people ~ JESUS!

1 Thessalonians 5:14-15

". . . we urge you brothers . . . encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. . . . always try to be kind to one another and everyone else."

Bluebonnets! It's springtime in Texas and its state flower, the bluebonnet, is in full bloom. The vibrant blooms cover the hillsides and the fields making even the most tedious commute more pleasant. The blue carpeted fields next to the roads and highways are Texans' pride. People flock with their cameras in hand to take annual family pictures among the blossoms - a ritual throughout the vast state. I want to thank my friend, Sarah Benson, for the lovely pictures she sent to me while on her recent trek to Austin. She knows I will miss this sight this year since we won't be going to Texas until May and the majority of the bluebonnets will be gone. So, thank you, Sarah!

Spring is here ~ the sun shining on the ocean looks like glimmering diamonds. I am so blessed to sit here and look out my window and see this every day.

Things are beginning to get busy around here. First of all, we will leave for Europe in only 5 weeks. There is so much to do and pounds to lose! I am so looking forward to our trip - London for 5 days followed by 6 days in Paris (where we honeymooned). This is going to be so fun. Ryan and his girlfriend, Nicole, will be accompanying us. Ryan will be graduating from college in December and when we were discussing his "graduation gift" he said he would like to go to Europe. So, we decided to tag along - or rather let him tag along with us. We will take lots of pictures!

We'll only be home a few weeks when we turn around and travel to Dallas for Olivia's dance recital on June 12th. We've not missed a recital. It's one of the most fun things about having a granddaughter! She's too precious!! We are lucky that we will also be able to be there for Ryan's roommate of 4 years, Zach Barnett's, wedding. Ryan will be a groomsman for the first time.

Then, the summer will be in full gear and we will be preparing for summer visitors ~ Adam and Deirdre in July and Denny, Shelley and the kids in August are a few of our VIP visitors. We love having them here. We are hoping that Alex will be able to join us as well but he's got summer school so his schedule might not allow it. And, Ryan will be interning with media services for the UT athletic department again this summer. It's non-paying but he does earn 6 hours for it. So, that's okay. He's been working (for pay) for media services for a year now. He loves it!

Stay tuned for our European travelog!
